And I love using my smaller ones! Easy to turn around. It is all that is needed for much of my piecing and saves wear and tear on my big, new one.
(Another hint for having your mat last longer. When you don't need the mat lines for lining up your fabric, turn your fabric so you will cut on the diagonal. Sure cuts down on the ruts!)

I'm with the others, buy another. I had one that warped, I cut the bad part out and made two smaller pieces.
