mine stays in place but it didn't make any easier for me to move the quilt around under the needle.
it wasn't as slippery as i expected/hoped.
i tried it a few times and then added it to my stash of "shouldn'a bothered."
they are quite popular, though, so i am open to the possibility that my issues with it relate somehow to operator head-space.
