Welcome from Colorado! Have you tried a local embroidery shop? You might be surprised how little a professionally embroidered label would cost..
For my husband's birthay last year, I took a cartoon that he drew freehand on the computer and took it to a local shop, they charged my 15 dollars to digitize (sp?) it, and then it was $3.00 each item to embroider it. I bought 3 polo shirts, had it done, for under $40.00, the best part is, once it's digitized, you can use it on anything. Or, try your hand at the satin stich on your machine, practice practice.
