We do not have a 'cat' door at our home because there are too many varmints like possum or raccoon that would come in the house. Yes,, chickens are not bad pets, rather have them friendly and not afraid of us than the leghorn type that runs and flys away from a person. Possums and raccoon visit our poultry lot at night. The duck eggs are my dh favorite egg for breakfast and mine when I cook. Therefore, we sell or share the brown eggs from the RIR hens.

Yes, I have chicken patterns for quilts on my 'bucket' list. I am always looking for fabric to make up the Rooster set. someday, I will. I did make up the nine hens on the nest and named them after my brother's former girl friends...his wife claimed that one. LoL!

Paper work today; maybe I will make a dent in it at least. Quilt patterns often distract me...therefore, the paper work does not progress too well.
