I had a bad experience with King Tut variegated shredding behind the needle. It needs a larger eye needle.
I use a 90/14 or 100/16 top stitch needle when I'm quilting with King Tut, I get much better results. The titanium top stitch needles are my favorite, sold on the Superior Threads website.
