I used EQ5 for YEARS and was thrilled with it. The only reason I have EQ7 is that a friend gave it to me for Christmas. I can't say it has one single feature that is an improvement over the EQ5, and many things I think are a downgrade. So be thrilled that you got such a bargain!! The sad thing is that no one can send you anything they've designed on their EQ7, because you won't be able to read it. Bah Humbug!!
