Here's another thing to check. Are you using Warm & Natural or Warm & WHite? There's a right and wrong side to this batting. If you put it in the wrong way, the needle pushes the batting thru and you get little pokies. The side with the flecks & specks goes toward your quilt top, smooth side down.
