Roast in the crockpot now. Will serve with mashed potatoes, carrots, sweet tea, vanilla ice cream.

The Roast

1 (4-5 lb) beef chuck roast
1 envelope ranch dressing mix
1 enveolope au jus mix
1/2 cup butter, cut into tablespoon
5 Pepperoncini peppers (comes in a jar like pickles) do not omit these

Place roast in crock pot. Sprinkle with ranch and au jus mixes. Place butter on top. Add peppers. Cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is very tender.

I pre heat my slow cooker crock with boiling water and use a slow cooker disposable liner. Pre heating takes an hour off the cooking time.
