Right now I am doing wall hangings / lap quilts -- many projects and patterns end up at 50 inches square. Sometimes I add squares and borders to make a larger one.
When I make a WH size I will put it away until I know what I want to do with it. That way I have the pleasure of making new ideas without having to finish. If I don't want to keep it, I give it to my quilt group and someone else snaps it up -- or it goes into a charity quilt.
I always have a baby quilt on hand finished for whoever(??) a new neighbor in the condo complex or a child of a friend.
