I just finished GramE's block. Your blue w/ white fabric reminded me of snow or ice crystals, I looked at countless snowflake blocks, they either looked clunky or were applique (which I only do as a last resort not my favorite by far) until I found one called fractured snow flake, the original had sashing between all the 9 patch squares so I took all that out and redrew it in a 12 inch size. It is FPP.
