now before I start..is there anything a newbie to paperpiecing should know before I go ahead and make ALL the mistakes??  I better go and measure my pattern to make sure it is 6 inches..whew it is! Lucky for me as I have traced out 4 copies of the pattern! I dont know how my paper will work as have seen numerous discussions on this board about what paper to use. i am using an exercise book (for australian users as they might be able to get this themselves if it works well..) It is called a Spicers Olympic stripe brand - A4 64 Page Mapping Tracing Book. On the outside it has black and yellow stripes and I think i got it from a school supplies store. it is good to use as it is a book and the original pattern fits in and doesnt move around. The paper seems a bit thinner than copying paper that you would use in your home printer. will let you know how it goes..
