Default quilting a king sized quilt on a queen sized frame

Please forgive me but this may be a really stupid question! I'm considering purchasing a quilting frame that maxes out at 96 inches. If I wanted to quilt anything wider than that, why couldn't I fold a few inches over on one end and roll it up for quilting then when finished reload the quilt with the other side folded in a few inches and complete the part that wasn't quilted on the first round? Obviously, I don't understand and I'm missing something in the whole process!!
