I quilt because I enjoy it and the time I spend quilting is like taking a mini vacation. I gift the majority of my quilts to family and friends. While I hope they will use them and enjoy them I do not worry about what happens to one after I place it in their care.
The kids who are placed with Child Protective Services go into the foster homes with little or nothing of their own. They would love to receive a quilt they could call their own. I assure you it would place a huge smile on their face, and they would love and care for it for years to come.
