A pattern called Square within Squares II could be interesting. I think that is the name of it. I will attach a picture of one of mine and see if I can find a link for the pattern. This is the only pattern that comes to mind that uses 3 fabrics.
I am not really good at visualizing, so I will leave that part to you.
