ManiacQuilter2 has great advice. I did a similar thing thinking I needed to "build a stash" . You don't just make quilts of fabrics you love and your stash will grow. Precuts are a great way to make coordinating quilts but not all precuts are the same and it is hard to make a quilt out of fabric that you think is just so so.
