Hi, I have made a few Tshirt quilts and made then qayg. Because I cannot free motion quilt I usually follow any curves, spacing between lines until whole shirt is done. Another l might go around the letters if not too much lettering and then add lines or square within square. I found doing something different on each Tshirt added a little depth to the quilts. Only problem l've found with my method of qayg is that the joins are not nearly as perfect as l would have wanted them. But l have found another way of joining which l am eager to try.
