I don't have the Brother/Innovis 1400E but you will not go wrong. I have the Brother/Innovis 6700D and I love it. Brother has one of the best embroidery machines. My first embroidery machine was Brother 550 ( it only did embroidery and a 4x4 design. then I purchased a 2100 and also a 2300 and then now the 6700D.
