yes...go one block at a time and enjoy the process of each and every block. Make them OVERSIZED so you can trim them to PERFECT squares. (I hand quilted each block before assembly, so this was essential ). I made a plastic sheet binder and "filed" each square as it was made, and skipped around & did the blocks that called my name first. Sometimes I did an easy one just to gain confidence and feel accomplished, Remember there is no correct way to make a block. Do it the way you know (freezer paper applique), or the way you want to learn, (needle turn applique). Above all, have fun.
