The edge/binding of a wallhanging, what to do?
I am busy making a wallhanging all done by hand. The front is asian fabric deep jewel tones and the backing is navy with multicolored primary dots. The only binding I have in the house is turkey red and not enough. I was eyeing my muslin and my DMC floss................or the silk embroidery thread(not sure if this is durable as it is very delicate silk)
A very delicate crochet edge/binding perhaps? Using very thin ivory crochet yarn.
A hand embroidered muslin binding?
An edge of fabric and some beads perhaps?
Any other ideas perhaps?
Specific questions if any weavers read here, could I weave some binding using just DMC floss?
