Just got a pattern or should say a pattern template using an octogon shape instead of the circle one. Add a piece of batting if desired and a piece of fabric in the middle, turn over the edges and stitch as close to the edge as you want. Similar to the cathedral look. Will be making a wood template one of these days as I know it will get a lot of use. Been collecting blue jeans for some time now. Was tired of the rag look and even though this pattern will rag somewhat, it all depends on how close I stitch to the edge on how much it will eventually rag up on me. At least I won't need to cut every inch along the seams on thisone.
