Another little trick I use. After I sew the binding on, I press the binding toward the seam. Then I flip the quilt over and press the binding to the edge of the seam. Then I use the little clips to hold it. I have found the hair clips work best on the corners in a criss-cross fashion. I will note I wash my quilts after so the pressing marks are gone but the binding stays snug.
