My Mom used to have an expression, "Don't eat the cow then choke on its tail!" If you haven't heard it before, it means "Don't get through the big/hard part and then quit/mess up at the end." You've made beautiful blocks so don't take a chance with the busy sashing. It would take less than a yard for sashing so I'd use solid for that even if you have to buy it, then decide what you want for border. Have you considered using the back side of some fabric from your stash, so it will read as a solid? Another quote, "You paid for both sides of the fabric so use whichever one works best!" (Those chevron fabrics would make pretty Dresden Plate blocks.)
