Quilt it now and bind, then wash before you gift. Or just tell the recipient how to wash. You want the quilt washed before baby touches it anyway just to wash out the chemicals in the fabric. Some brands of spray basting are a little sticky. I've not used yours. I use 505 spray, but have had others that were hard to quilt over.
