Default Lining up dots and stripes on borders.

I recently posted a baby quilt in Pictures - "So fun to do a baby quilt!!!" and received many compliments! Thanks to all! Will probably work with striped fabric, too?
Several of you asked how I managed to line up the little hexagon (called "dots' in this tute). So here it is:

Each strip of the border must be cut at the same place. Here they are cut next to the line of yellow/green dots.

At the end of the first strip you will add the next strip. Fold the end of this new one to the back on a 45° angle and press for a sharp fold.

With the corner folded under, line up the patterns on the top side - Do Not Mark - picture marked to shows the alignment.

Unfold carefully and pin the corners.

Sew along the diagonal fold and trim the corner. Press the seam open (I do it open anyway!)

Press from the top and you are done!!

Good Luck and Enjoy! Tried to delete attachment - sorry!
