I have my mom's featherweight, we sewed all our clothes on it when I was in highschool, and I wouldn't trade it for the world...I am 73 now, so she got her's in the 40's...then I was at a garage sale about 15 years ago, and stumped my toe on something under a table, looked down and there was the green and white box...I ask the lady was she selling the box, she said yes, for $25...I knew pretty well what was inside, but I just picked it up and paid her right then...so needless to say, I have the white featherweight too....now that was a bargain...keep both of them serviced...and use them when I travel..just made some curtains for daughters breakfast room, and took the white one and did them at her house... love sewing on them...
