Mine looks so plain compared to yours but I will keep on going. I don't have the kind of material to fussy cut right now but if I ever make another one I am going to keep that in mind and buy, buy, buy new material. I need to follow the book pattern in order to make these rosettes. I am not worldly enough to figure it out on my own. I love your rosettes and all.
The great thing about this quilt is even if you don't have the patterns to fussy cut the whole quilt is intriquet enough to still look great and interesting. I really love the simplicity of 2 or 3 color graphic material, it is overlooked in this quilt a lot but can be cut to have a very interesting look. When you go to the fabric shop take a few small squares of paper that you have cut a window in the size and shape of the pieces (especially the pentes and large diamond) so you can look at the pattern on the fabric w/ the actual size and shape to see if it will work.
