It is already beautiful... but if you completed the plaid the leaf pattern would stand out more, IMO. If you do decide to turn your stripes into a plaid, I'd space the lines out a little farther apart than you did with the first direction of lines, just to create a grid without overquilting and making the quilt stiff.
And then part of me says... the bride and groom probably won't appreciate the finer points of quilting anyway and will love it as is... so why bother with more quilting? LOL.
