The center of each square is the little off white 1" finished square. Each block finished measures 8" and has four different batiks in it. That is where it all became somewhat confusing, but once I got going it was fun and worked out well. I really had to keep laying it all out as I went to keep track of my colors. Thanks to all for looking and commenting. This was really a fun challenge, and I chose the .5" logs just because it was a real challenge. I'm sure that it would be really pretty with wider logs, too. Someone needs to try that and be sure to post when finished. I want to see!!
