Default Tropical Parrotise S&W--Quilted by Feline Fanatic--Finished

I saw a picture in a book and I attempted to re-create it. When I contacted the author, she said there was no commercial pattern. A student in one of her classes had done it. I used a wild tropical print and made stacks of six and for the center 12. Then using two stacks, alternated the prints to make a DP. Appliqued miles (it seemed) of bias tape by hand, both sides. Used only one stack for the undulating border. This is the finished project, hung. Feline's quilting is exquisite and makes the whole thing cohesive. The circles for the centers were made by alternating Center plate which is about 27". The center circles are made from 6 smaller circles. This whole process is endlessly fascinating to me and you can make the most wonderful blocks from the same material.
