I have a plastic blade container labeled used blades. It will hold about 12 blades. I haven't filled it up in over 5 years! My blades last a long time unless I nick them. I sharpen a sharp blade so it never gets dull. I use this sharpener after about ten cuts with the blade. Only takes few swipes to keep a sharp blade sharp.
