Hi all..... I have always loved sewing but about 30 years ago I came across a quilt magazine and fell in love. At that time in my life I sewed clothing for my children and loved it and of course I save all my scraps. The closest I had ever been to quilting was when I would go to my great grandmother's house and see the quilt on the back of her couch and the one on her bed. At that time working and raising my children took most all of my time so quilting was put on a back burner. When I decided to make my fist quilt it was a 9 patch made out of all the wrong fabric. It was so ugly and I was so disappointed because it was nothing like the beautiful quilts in the magazine. For years I continued to buy the magazine and would spend hours reading them, looking at the pictures and dreaming of the day I could try it again. I spent years doing this and "collecting" fabric for the day I would try again. Since then I have finished a couple of bed-size quilts.

I came across this board purely by accident but I am so glad I did. I have dropped into the chat room a few times and have been reading all for a while and everyone seems so friendly and eager to help and so I wanted to say hello.
