Visit your favorite shops, designers, people who teach techniques you like & check their sites many have links for their forums. None are as ( universal) as this one though. Some are large, some small. Some busy, some sporadic. Some work together on donation projects, mystery quilts and/ or round robins. There's a lot to choose from.
