I don't buy quilt patterns but have bought a few things like a tote bag pattern, etc. & have not paid more than about $5 for that sort of thing. Generally I can find something free on the web. If I'm looking for a particular type of pattern I can usually find it online with some detailed searching. Once I saw a darling baby quilt that the blogger released every month on her blog. After she had posted all the monthly blocks she then offered to sell the blocks. Well, it was about a 4 year old blog but I went back to her old blogs where she had posted the monthly blocks & printed them off of her site (she did not remove them from her site)...lucky me. It took me some time to figure out that I could find them but it allowed me to get the block patterns without having to pay for them. Otherwise, I think she was charging $5 for each block & it would have cost me about $60 ... no way I would do that!
