Ha ha... I didn't even catch that!

I'm envious of your jars and jars of peaches. You're my hero, QNS.

I'm getting my embroidery quilt put together today. Maybe I'll share a sneak peek later. This is all hand embroidery, by the way. I got the 'bug' for hand embroidery when I went to the Quilt Week at Paducah this Spring. I saw such beautiful samples that I ended up coming home with patterns! And I didn't stash them. (pats herself on the back...). Who would have thought I'd come back with a new obsession? But I do love the hand stitching. I think I'm going to hand quilt some of the tops I have too.

Today I found an old pattern I'd been looking for. I thought it was Herrschner's or Mary Maxim, but it was actually from Aunt Martha's. When I was about 10 my big sister's godmother made and sent her a beautiful embroidery quilt... each block having a state name, bird and flower. The alternate blocks were pink gingham. This was in the 60's. I have never seen anything like it since... and today I found the patterns for those blocks and ordered them. Yippee.
