I've made 5 t-shirt quilts - most for nieces and nephews, but I did quilts for the sons of a good friend. I do enjoy making them. The only ones I have charged for were those I made for my friend, and I have a couple of more lined up to do. Thank goodness they aren't in a hurry! Were I to do any commissioned ones - and at some point I likely will - $250 would be my base price.
