I guess Canada Day is like our Fourth of July. But I don't know why they celebrate it. We were in Yellowknife on Canada Day a few years ago. They had a parade which started with twelve airplanes flying above the parade route. If it hadn't been for the bush pilots, there would be no Yellowknife. The only other way to get there would have been on horseback or dog sled. Now there is a road, but you need to take the ferry to get over the river in the summer time. In the winter they just drive over Slave Lake. Yellowknife is the capital of Northwest Territories. (End of history lesson.)
