Exactly how I fixed mine. After that I made sure my surface was free of any scraps or debris.

Yes I have and it is a real pain if several lines of FMQ run through it. I solved mine by cutting the offending piece of fabric close to the stitching lines and then I was able to pull the individual fabric threads out of the stitching with my hemostats.
