HUmmingbird quilt/walllhanging for my Mom
My mom's going through some very difficult times. Part of her therapy is to have a "safe place" and a trigger word that can bring her there. Her safe place is her patio watching the hummingbirds and her trigger word is "humming" for hummingbird.
I recently found this applique pattern by Toni Whitney and knew it would be perfect for her. Hadn't done applique in a few years and even when I did do applique I didn't do anything with this many little pieces or overlapping pieces. It was more fun than I remembered.
