I think there are pros and cons to both tablets and paperback books. What I love about my Kindle is that I can change the font size and I can change the color of the page to a black nightime mode so that I can read in bed and not disturb my husband. I like that I can highlight words and look them up in the dictionary. I really like that I can turn the page without having to reposition myself. I don't like that I can't see the screen outside easily. With paper books, I can buy used copies for not much money and donate them to someone else after if I choose. I like being able to flip through the pages back and forth and find my place easily. And I like the way the book feels in my hand. With technology becoming obsolete soon after it is sold, I wonder how many people will eventually lose their books simply because they retire their tablet. And then there is the elephant in the room. Where are all these "old" televisions and cell phones and tablets and computers going to get dumped after we get a new one every couple of years. I suppose that is a whole new topic.
