My mom won a $1000 shopping spree at a mall during 1 christmas season! She won gift certificates to 28 stores and 1 was a quilt shop. I took the Beginning Quilting class. I tell DH that free class has cost me a lot of $$$!
My mom is not crafty. I did learn embroidery from my grandma on my dad's side. I've embroidered and cross-stitched for years. I also inherited 5 quilts from that grandma, although she did not quilt. I think her mom made them.
These stories are all great. Some of you have overcome some huge obstacles.
