I learned about American Made Brand through this board and love it--sometimes their colors are limited though.
My favorite line is Maywood Studios' "Shadowplay." Their marbled solids; I realize "marbling" is not truly a solid, but if you're working with a pattern that works with subtle marbling, then you might consider Maywood Studios "Shadowplay" fabrics. I use that line of fabrics for about 80-90% of my quilts. I haven't found a line that I like better in terms of thickness and workability. (I also learned about Maywood Studios via this board.....
