The handbag is made using 19 five inch squares that are sewn together with a 1/2 inch seam allowance ( make believe you are making a rag quilt but don't snip the edges)

Each square made using the following: 5 inch square of outer fabric, then 4 inch batting, 4 inch stiff stabilizer, and a 5 inch square outside fabric. The stabilizer should be next to the inside fabric. Stitch either an X or any design to connect all layers together.

Lay out five rows that contain 3 squares ( total of 15 squares) then add two squares to each end of row 3 ( row 3 will be the bottom of the handbag and the 2 squares will be the sides when sides are pulled up and sewn to rows 1 and 2 and rows 4 and 5.

I used the smooth sewn side as the outer and the "rag side" as the inside. Then made a lining So you wouldn't see the "unfinished ragging.

Thanks everyone one for all your kind compliments
