This is the quilt top for my friend's youngest daughter. She loves owls and asked for purple and green for her quilt. The center is crazy pieced of course - denoting her "crazy" side. She is a hoot. In the top left, there is an owl embroidery that says "Good Night". In that spot, there will be a detachable cloth book about her and her adventures with her stuffed owl "swoops". I need some pictures before I can complete that part. It will attach with a button (my husband made from a sea shell) in the small yellow box. That way she can take it off to read and mom can remove it to wash the quilt.
Hope you enjoy seeing my latest creation. Its the last quilt top to complete while I'm finishing up my 8 month medical leave from work. I have discovered that retirement won't be so bad after all
