Awesome Quilt! Since I am still a sotra a newbie, excuse the dumb question, but what is the name of the pattern for that quilt? I love that pattern and would like to attempt one like that. Are the "fan" pieces appliqued or blocked into the quilt?

Thank you. The pattern is called the Dresden Plate. the parts of the plates are pieced together then the whole piece is appliqued to the block. It's no wonder AFTER doing the top for that class I decided I needed a hand applique class! :) That wasn't bad enough, then it took me 2 weeks to summon enough courage to attempt the scalloped binding! Great lessons were learned! I'm not sure knowing what I know now (that I didn't know anything about quilting lol) that I would have picked this for my first quilt.
