Square or Rectangle Blocks are more masculine than any blocks made with Curves or circles.. So are Stripes or Triangles and Plaids.... Flying Geese, would make a Great Quilt too. You could make them any size ... Shades of Darker Blues, rusts,brick and Brown, Taupe. and Beige, darker Greens like Forest or even a Sage Green, No Flowers in the prints. Maybe a few Creams or Golds to lighten it up. I don't care for Blacks and Grays...unless its a Amish Style Quilt. Hope this helps...Can't wait to see finished Quilt..
