I absolutely love quilting, but I consider some of the commercialization of it flim flam. I made a conscious decision to recycle whatever I can whenever I can while I enjoy quilting. I may be an exception to the general "quilter," but my position has been carefully thought out. I do not chase the latest lines of expensive cottons. Instead, I spend my creative juices trying to decide how to best re-use what might otherwise go to waste. The article paints quilters with a broad brush as big-spending hobbyists, but doesn't consider the thousands of women out there hooked on the joy of craftsmanship and creativity. Price and worth are not the same in my estimation.
