How many inches are in (fraction/decimal) of a yard
One yard = 36 inches
1/36 = 0.028 = 1 inch (some stores sell fabric and trims by the inch)
1/8 = 0.125 = 4-1/2 inches
1/6 = 0.167 = 6 inches
1/4 = 0.250 = 9 inches
1/3 = 0.333 = 12 inches
3/8 = 0.375 = 13-1/2 inches
1/2 = 0.500 = 18 inches
5/8 = 0.625 = 22.5 inches
2/3 = 0.667 = 24 inches
3/4 = 0.750 = 27 inches
7/8 = 0.875 = 31-1/2 inches
Decimals are rounded to nearest thousandth of an inch (0.000)
