I prewash my fabric before construction, so if I used glue stick on a quilt and didn't wash it before gifting, would that cause any problems with the glue being left there for a length of time (cuz I know some people don't wash their new gift quilt for a long time after receiving it)? It is Always a good idea to launder your finished quilt to remove any glues, starches, oils from handling etc. when you are finished -- it is the final step after binding . That way when you gift, donate; You know all is well & it is clean, ready for its new owner.
