I am going to be making a quilt for my dad this year (hopefully by Father's Day). I've found three fabrics so far that I'm going to use in it and I plan on adding a few more. It's going to be kind of scrappy, in a masculine way. :) He's a car guy and loves his Harleys so I'm putting together some fabrics that go with those interests. One of my fabrics (as you can see in the picture) has a bigger pattern on it that you really need to cut bigger to see and enjoy the random pattern. I don't want to do something as simple as plain squares for my quilt, but I don't want something so complex the pattern takes away from the fabrics. I was thinking just half square triangles all over, or maybe even hourglasses. Anyone care to share some suggestions?

Regarding the fabrics, I plan to add a flame print one (getting some orange color in there) and hopefully something with some blue in it. I have enough black/grey already with the three pictured.

Edit to add: Eek! Sorry for the poor picture quality. I just snapped it real quick with the camera. My settings must be off.
