I made seven toddler donation quilts using this pattern. I wa surprised that the stripes match up without any fussing. One thing I learned, you need the 1 and 1/4 yards to get 10" cuts, anything less will be too narrow when folded . I cut my fabric 1 1/4" yard sections to get more blocks. Since I'm not starting w/ a standard width measure of fabric, I am measuring the width deciding a good divisible number then multiplying that by 4 for my length of fabric piece. I'm pretty sure my fabric is wider then the 45 - 42 inch wof.
